Hi, I'm Charlie! I launched Food Rescue US - Boston in August of 2022, after helping build a food pantry in my community during the pandemic. My background is in foodservice operations, customer service and technology, making Food Rescue US a perfect fit for my dedication to reducing senseless waste and helping innovative leaders in our community make a difference through food distribution. Food and community are the heart and soul of the work I do, and I'm grateful to say our food rescue community has rescued over 1.3 million pounds of food in less than two years. We are growing fast and show no signs of slowing down - join us by becoming a Boston food rescuer today!

Hi I'm Virginie Forget, the Food Rescue US - Boston Community Partnership Coordinator. Originally from Paris, France, I came to Boston in 1996 for an MBA. While most of my career was spent in customer support, sales and business process improvements, I followed my true passion, cooking, and spent the last decade in the food industry in sunny California.  After moving back to Boston in 2021, I wanted to get involved with a nonprofit organization focused on food waste. I was lucky to stumble upon Charlie, our site director, at a volunteer fair. 

In my current role, I am in charge of maximizing the impact of our donors' contributions by allocating them to receiving agencies that can utilize these donations most effectively, ensuring the greatest benefit to those in need. I love managing these day to day operations in the city and am also a Rescuer myself.
