Food Rescue US - Fairfield County disrupts the cycle of food waste by directing nutritious, surplus food to those in need. We leverage technology and a network of volunteers to streamline food rescue while fostering strong community connections. Food Rescue US - Fairfield County coordinates rescues every day of the week, averaging over 350 rescues weekly. Our food donors encompass grocery stores, schools, corporate dining, farmers’ markets, and more. Additionally, we organize seasonal weekly food distributions with a local urban farm, large-scale distributions of bulk items, and multiple neighborhood garden share programs.
